new HMRC statutory sick pay penalties
From 6 April 2009, new penalties have come into force for employers who fail or refuse to operate the SSP Scheme correctly within their business.
It includes separate fines of up to £3000 for instances of failure or refusal to keep sickness records, pay SSP to employees, or payment of incorrect amounts due to negligence.
