changes to flexible working requests

From 6 April 2009 the right for an employee to request flexible working arrangements has been extended from parents of children up to the age of six years to parents of children up to the age of 16 years (18 years if disabled). 

These enhancements are in addition to the same entitlement for an employee with caring responsibilities for qualifying adults over the age of 18 years.
